Mechanical Dolls

If Tim Walker's shoot for the October issue of Vogue Italia doesn't get you in the mood for some Halloween chills, then nothing will. This gets my vote as one of the eeriest editorials I've seen in quite a while, as well as one of the more creative. The application of doll parts to seemingly extend human limbs or blur the line between what is human and what is machine is remarkable. Nothing exudes creepy quite like an anthropomorphic mechanical doll, no?

this is an awesome (-ly creepy) editorial. whenever i think of mechanical dolls i think of chitty chitty bang bang and the "doll on a music box" musical number.
